An expert in endoscopic sinus surgery

Hesham Saleh - in surgery
Endoscopic sinus surgery with image guidance
Mr Saleh undertakes investigations and provides treatments for sinusitis that is severe or has proved to be resistant to other treatment methods.  During Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS), a thin fibre optic tube (endoscope) is introduced into the nose so that it can provide diagnostic video images. Tiny instruments are then used to remove abnormal and obstructive tissue, to open up the sinus pathways. For most people FESS can be performed solely through the nostril with no incisions or scars, as an outpatient procedure.

Mr Saleh specialises in endoscopic surgery for benign nasal tumours, blocked tear ducts and leaks of cerebrospinal fluid associated with holes in the protective lining in the brain.
