Mr Ali Noorani qualified in medicine from Imperial College School of Medicine in London and completed his orthopaedic and trauma training on the Royal London Hospital rotation.  He has received substantial specialist Fellowship training, including programmes at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and The Royal Liverpool Hospital in the UK, and Harvard University and the Mayo Clinic in the USA.

Mr Noorani is a regular contributor the academic literature and a member of the review board for the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.   Currently the principle investigator on a number of multicentre randomised controlled trials, his research interests include:

  • Shoulder and elbow instability
  • Reconstruction of the shoulder and elbow
  • Upper limb joint preservation surgery
  • Scapula fractures
  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in shoulder arthroscopy
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Trauma of the upper limb
  • Stem cells in tendon healing
