The amount of people seeking the benefits of cosmetic dentistry continues to increase.
This is the opinion of Jill Haldane, marketing director at Harley Street Smile Clinic, who believes people are more image-conscious and would rather spend their money on cosmetic surgery than buy a new car.
A lot of patients have not smiled for a long time and the confidence these people gain from the dentistry is priceless – many wish they had done it sooner, said Ms Haldane.
"They come in, they can get their teeth done and it is like a new person you see six months later – they are smiling, they are happy," she added.
Ms Haldane outlined that cosmetic dentistry is commonly used to straighten teeth, minimise gaps between them or to amend the colour of the teeth and she reiterated advice that people should have a dental check-up and visit a hygienist every six months.
